ASUS Eee PC Named European Netbook of 2009-2010 by EISA
EISA (European Imaging and Sound Association) has conferred its coveted European Netbook 2009–2010 award on ASUS’ Eee PC™ 1008HA Seashell, applauding its slim profile, light weight, large display, impressive processing speed, and effective connectivity. The prominent Mobile Devices panel noted that the Eee PC™ 1008HA Seashell is “very easy to carry”, “has one [of] the largest [LED-backlit displays] in its category”, and is “powered by the Intel Atom N280 processor, the very best in the field”—concluding with a ringing endorsement of the Eee PC™ 1008HA Seashell’s superiority on the form, function and fashion fronts: “If you want to have the most powerful netbook, and the most fashionable one, the ASUS Eee PC 1008HA Seashell is your best choice.” The full write-up can be viewed at www.eisa.eu/awards/mobile.

The annual EISA Awards is one of Europe’s most prestigious celebrations of the best electronics and devices available on the market. Run by EISA, a unique association of 50 special interest magazines from 19 European countries, the EISA Awards pays tribute to new products that “combine the most advanced technology, the most desirable features, the ultimate expression of design, the most satisfying ergonomics and, of course, the greatest value for money”*. The EISA Awards is marked by the complete absence of commercial influence and stands out for its rigorous, robust and fair awards process—products are nominated purely by the editors-in-chief from EISA’s member magazines.
QNAP er et multinationalt selskab med hovedkvarter i Taiwan og datterselskabskontorer i USA og Kina. QNAP er et privatejet selskab, der blev oprettet i 2004 som et selskab der skulle levere verdensklasse NAS-enheder, professionelt NVR overvågningsudstyr og netværksvideo afspillere. Ikke mange ved det, men QNAP står for ”Quality Network Appliance Provider”, og deres mål er at blive verdens førende leverandør af NAS-enheder og professionelt videoovervågningsudstyr. Vi har før haft en QNAP inde til tests, og nu hvor der er kommet en ny NAS-enhed fra QNAP – nemlig TS-239 Pro II Turbo NAS. Den benytter dog de lidt ældre 3,5” harddiske, og en Atom CPU(D410) og 1GB RAM. Alt dette er en spændende kombination.
Efter succesfulde forgængere er turen kommet til SG07 modellen, der med en 600W præmonteret strømforsyning og support for lange grafikkort, lader brugeren bygge et yderst kompakt system med en usædvanlig høj ydeevne. Kølingen er sublim, og kan indstilles ved hjælp af et blæserstyringspanel. SilverStone har monteret tre støvfiltre, således støv undgår at trænge ind i kabinettet. SG07 råder over mange highend kabinetsmæssige features, og adskiller sig primært på størrelsen, i forhold til de større kabinetter af slagsen.
Der er nok mange som kender producenten Dymo, for alle deres label maskiner. Vi har haft fornøjelsen af at se på en Dymo Labelwriter 450 Duo. Dymo har et meget bredt sortiment af labelwriter, lige fra små håndholdte til de stationære label maskiner, så som denne vi skal se på.
