  • Corsair Extreme X128 Solid State Drive

    26/04 - 2010

The successor to mechanical hard drives, the Solid State Disk is still only a small piece of the total market, and the price/GB ratio is also pretty high, but luckily the manufacturers keep producing new models, which pushes performance up and prices down. Corsair is well known for producing quality RAM, USB sticks, power supplies and lately they're beginning to SDD several SSD's to their collection. The SSD's is split into different series, and one of these is called Extreme. The SSD in question today is called Corsair Extreme X128, and like the name might suggest has a capacity of 128GB -  more than enough for the operating system and then some.

USB-connectivity, software, surround and VoiceFX is but a few of the features shipped with the ARENA headset.

  • Crucial Ballistix Tracer Red PC-6400 4GB (UK)

    23/04 - 2008

In this review we're taking a closer look at a pair of RAM modules from Crucial. Last time we reviewed RAM modules from Crucial, we had a value set on the bench consisting of 2 x 1 GB modules. This time we're dealing with something completely different, we're having a look at 2 x 2 GB PC6400 modules in Crucials Tracer series.

  • Exceleram EP3001A 3 x 2 GB DDR3-1333 MHz CL9

    10/03 - 2011

The EP3001A modules have a speed of DDR3-1333 MHz with CL9 timings, and a tRAS-value of 24. The CRT-timing can be adjusted to 1T, which gives you extra performance. Exceleram have chosen to spare the cooling units, to minimize the price. The overclocking potential is big, and by loosening the timings, it is possible to hit speeds over DDR3-2000 MHz. We compare the modules in more benchmark tests against kits from both Exceleram and Kingston.

  • GEIL Ultra DDR3 TC 1600MHz triple channel kit

    10/08 - 2009

Last time we looked at memory modules from Geil were back in August 2008. The memory kit we are looking at now is a high performance triple channel kit, designed for the Intel X58 platform.

  • Ghost Recon: Advanced Warfighter 2 (UK)

    27/09 - 2007

About a year ago the game Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter was released, and quickly became popular due to its fantastic gameplay and great graphics. Now a successor has been released, and since we’ve tested the first one here at Tweak.dk, it seemed natural to have a look at the new edition as well. In general, games produced in association with Tom Clancy are high quality, but will a successor be able to deliver the same entertainment as the first one, without the gameplay being too identical? Or did Ubisoft create a perfect game once again? The game has been loaned to us by Ubisoft Denmark, and the test was made with v.1.02.

  • Gigabyte GeForce GTX 460 overclocked with the Windforce cooler

    30/11 - 2010

Gigabyte’s GV-N460OC-1GI is built with the Ultra Durable VGA components and an anti-turbulent Windforce cooling component. The advantages with that initiative are for example lower temperatures on the GPU, bigger overclocking potential and a lower power consumption, compared to the GTX 460 reference version.

The card’s GF104 GPU is overclocked with 40 MHz from the factory, but the 1 GB GDDR5 memory runs at standard speed. This test will answer how the GV-N460OC-1GI competes against AMD’s Radeon HD 6800 series in ordinary, but also PhysX and anti-alising benchmarks.

  • Gigabyte GV-RX387512H Radeon HD 3870 (UK)

    02/07 - 2008

The card we're reviewing today is Gigabytes version of a high end graphicscard based on the RV670 chip from ATI. Gigabyte is known for their quality, which can be proved by taking a look at their product line, which is more about quality than quantity. Besides the fitted Zalman cooler, Gigabyte has also transferred their "Ultra Durable" components from their motherboards, components that have proven a lot of quality and stability.

  • Gigabyte MA790FX-DQ6 (UK)

    12/04 - 2008

AMD’s latest chipset has recently been released, which means that the motherboard manufactures is about ready with their new products. Gigabyte is also ready with their high-end motherboard for enthusiast, based on the new 790FX platform also known as Spider. One of the main new features about this chipset is the 42 PCI-E V2.0 lanes, providing plenty of bandwidth for Crossfire-X and Quad Core AMD Phenom.

  • How to Overclock your graphics card

    22/02 - 2013

The graphics card, the almost divine graphics cars. Every gamer’s best friend. Unfortunately, the best friends cost the most. It is possible to spend 12.000 DKK on a single graphics card. But as expensive as it can be, as cheap can it be too. There are graphics cards at 200 DKK, but they are not necessarily as you expect. Graphics cards perform as differently as they cost. Besides the big range and pricing, many cards perform weird compared to the price, but I will return to that later on in the article.

  • Intel Core i3 540 (3.06 GHz) processor

    12/05 - 2010

While the powerful Core i7 processors and the budget friendly Core i5 processors has stolen all the attention, the Core i3 series has discretely reached the Danish market as well. At first, most users wouldn't care much for these, but a closer look at the Intel Core i3 might be worth your while.

  • MSI EX600 (UK)

    21/03 - 2008

Here, at Tweak.dk, we are proud to present a rare test of a laptop. The machine that we are testing is a MSI EX600. With the EX600, MSI proposes a compact multimedia machine in their Entertainment Series. With its nVidia DX10 graphics card and 2 Gigs of RAM, one should think that this machine can fulfill the requirements of a multimedia machine, but unfortunately, they’ve not been lucky in their choice of CPU. We will delve into this later on.

  • MSI GeForce 9800 GTX N9800GTX-T2D512-OC (UK)

    08/05 - 2008

In this test, we’re reviewing a graphics card from MSI. Lately we’ve reviewed a number of products from MSI. The card on the bench in this test is Nvidia’s latest release – namely the 9800GTX. The card MSI has sent us is called N9800GTX-T2D512-OC.

As the name reveals, MSI has produced an overclocked version of the Nvidia 9800GTX card. We weren’t impressed with the previous 9800GTX we reviewed, so it’ll be exciting to see if this card handles better against the 8800 series.

  • MSI GeForce 9800GX2 N9800GX2-M2D1G (UK)

    02/05 - 2008

MSI has sent us their top of the line graphics card. In this test we’re reviewing their version of the 9800GX2 graphics card – The card MSI has sent us is called N9800GX2-M2D1G.

Nvidia 9800GX2 is the direct successor of the Nvidia 7950GX2 card. Both cards have been built on the same principles. Nvidia takes 2 of their fastest chips + 1 GB RAM and place it on 2 PCB’s that’ll be put together by a 3rd chip. There’s no doubt about the 9800GX2 being Nvidia’s absolute top card, so it’ll be interesting to see what the top model from the green camp has to offer.

  • MSI H55M-ED55 with Intel H55 Express

    20/03 - 2010

In the past few years, MSI or Micro-Star International as they’re also known as has made an aggressive move into the global market. Large parts of Europe have especially noticed their presence. Many people might remember them from OC competitions, like MSI Overclocking Arena, which also took place here at Tweak.dk, with the winners competing against other teams at MSI headquarters in the Netherlands.

As a part of their rebuilt of a better image, and increasing marketing, production numbers isn’t the only thing that has gone up. MSI has also realized the importance of listening to the user’s needs, and use the feedback as constructive criticism. The result is of this is a series of interesting motherboards – like the P55 ”Big Bang” series – and the product in focus today, called H55M-ED55 as seen above.

  • MSI K9A2 Platinum (UK)

    01/02 - 2008

It's time to have a look at a motherboard from MSI. For me personally, it's been a while since I've owned or dealt with anything from Microstar. I think the last time was when the netburst technology from Intel had its peak, and the hottest thing out there was a 1.8 GHz Pentium 4 processor, overclocked beyond 2.4 GHz. But this isn't history class, and now we're dealing with AMD's latest creation, the new 790FX chipset. There are not a whole lot of motherboards using this chipset at the moment, and if we remove the ones equipped with 4 PCI-Express slots which give you the Quad CrossFire opportunity, there are probably only a couple boards out there. Actually I tried searching for reviews of this motherboard, but only came up with a couple news flashes about MSI's release of the motherboard. The reason for this might be the limited spread of AMD's new Phenom processor with 4 cores. Something the motherboard manufactures isn't too happy about.

  • MSI K9A2GM-FIH with Radeon HD 3200 (UK)

    07/07 - 2008

Once again AMD is ready with another integrated solution for a chipset and graphicscard. The motherboard on the bench today is from MSI, called MSI K9A2GM-FIH. The motherboard is primarily aimed at the HTPC people and the system integrator. There's a number of HTPC manufactures because there's more money to be made with these machines. A lot of configuration is connected to HTPC's which to some degree justifies the higher price. The motherboard is the first we've seen with AMD's 780G chipset.

  • MSI K9N2GM-FD/FIH med GeForce 8200 (UK)

    19/06 - 2008

Once again, AMD is ready with an integrated solution for chipset and graphicscard. The motherboard we’re reviewing is from MSI, called K9N2GM-FD/FIH. The chipset also goes by the name of 730a or GeForce 8200 chipset. We’re reviewed motherboards from MSI previously, and know them as some of the most popular on the market, which sets our preliminary expectations high. The motherboard is aimed at entry-level, so we’re at the low end of the scale. The motherboard follows the M-ATX standard.

  • MSI NX8800GT-T2D512E-OC GeForce 8800GT (UK)

    27/01 - 2008

For the first time in a very long time on tweak.dk, we’ll take a look at product from MSI. MSI produces everything from laptops to motherboards, barebones and graphics cards. In this review, we take a look at the last mentioned, a graphics card. The graphics card we’re reviewing is an 8800GT with 512mb of RAM which is pre-overclocked from the manufacturer.
