  • A-Data PD17 1GB mini flash drive (UK)

    We’ve once more tested a 1 GB USB 2.0 drive. This time we’ve been handed the A-Data PD17, which is the latest addition to their Nobility series. It’s a tiny little gadget that only weighs 5 grams, and because of its size it fits easily into a pocket when travelling.

  • ABIT IX38 QuadGT (UK)

    It’s time to have a look at a motherboard from Abit, based on the X38 chipset. This board carries the name ABIT IX38-QuadGT, and stands out from the Abit IP35 Pro with a new chipset and improved cooling. Everything else though is copied from the previously mentioned motherboard. As said before, the new feature is the IX38’s use of the X38 chipset, which is the enthusiast solution compared to the P35 chipset. Among others, 45nm support, three PCI-E slots, special Abit Uguru overclocking software can be mentioned as features. All in all, we’re in for an exciting review.

  • Akasa revo thermodynamic CPU cooler (UK)

    In this test we are reviewing a product from Akasa. It has almost been two years since we last reviewed a product from Akasa, and back then, we had a look at their Eclipse 62 case. The product reviewed today is a CPU cooler, with a unique design and a unique technology. We'll get back to all of that later in the test - and the cooler we are testing is the Akasa revo thermodynamic CPU cooler.

  • AMD Phenom 9850 2.5GHz quad core processor (UK)

    The first time that AMD launched their Phenom flagship, it really didn’t go well. It was believed that AMD would create a whole new era with this model added to the portfolio. But shortly if its launch rumors started to spread about a flaw in the processor that in some cases would make the computer bluescreen. The infamous TLB Buffer error in the processor did not make things any easier for a product already under pressure. Under pressure? Well, Intel has for a long time been ahead in regard to performance. It’s been like this for some years and it makes it more difficult for other manufacturers to sell their products at a more reasonable price.

  • Antec LanBoy Air Gamer Case

    The LanBoy Air is targeted towards gamers, overclockers and enthusiast at the same time. The case’s design and features like LED-fans and handles makes it suitable for LAN-parties. Every part - besides the body in steel  - are modules that can be adjusted. This makes it easy for creative types whom hobby is to modify the product. LanBoy Air have with its 5 x 120mm fans and 15 x 120mm possible locations for fans an astounding potential in regard to cooling which appeals strongly to overclocking. A removable motherboard tray, 8 x PCI-slots, SSD-support and fan controller to control the pre-mounted fans gives the enthusiast a lot of possibilities. 

     

  • Antec Sonata Designer 500 (UK)

    Once again, it’s time to review a case from Antec. This time it’s the Antec Sonata Designer 500, which is a new version in the Sonata series. With the Sonata Designer 500, Antec is trying to stand out from the crowd, with features like changeable front panels. As another special feature, Antec has equipped the Sonata Designer 500 with thin panels on the sides and top to limit the noise.

  • AOpen G325 Gaming Case (UK)

    We have received one of AOpens older case products for reviewing. The product is the G325 Gaming Case, which is a small case designed for micro ATX form factor motherboards. AOpen labels the case as a Gaming Case, and it have a design that.

  • Aplus CS-Monolith II (UK)

    The case reviewed today is from the German APLUS. The case isn’t very big, it’s in the mid tower range. The name of the case is Aplus CS-Monolith II, which makes you think of something that will last forever. No power supply is bundled which is pretty normal. 

    The company APlus Case, which manufactured this case, is dedicated to making computer cases, and they’ve been selling cases since 2005.

  • Arctic Cooling Accelero S2 and Turbo Module (UK)

    08/10 - 2007

    We’ve received yet another low noise cooler from Arctic cooling. This time it is the Accelero S2, with an optional Turbo Module. The turbo module is 2 low noise fans which can be mounted on top of the passive Accelero cooler.

    The Accelero S2 cooler is compatible with ATI graphics cards and GeForce cards. The highest models supported are the ATI HD2400 and the GeForce 8500.

  • ASRock 880G Extreme3 with 6Gbps SATA and USB 3.0

    When it comes to motherboards, ASRock is becoming a bigger player, also on the Danish market. They have launched some really good motherboards recently. Among those have ASRock launched one with AMD’s newest chipset, all packed into a potent motherboard – the ASRock 880G Extreme 3 AM3.

  • ASUS EAH2600XT D4/HTDI/256M (UK)

    ASUS is one of the world’s leading manufacturers of hardware, and they have a wide range of products out. We’ve already tested various different products from ASUS, and this time, we have one of their mid-range graphics cards in our hands – coming from their ATi Radeon series. More specifically, it is the ASUS EAH2600XT, which is a Radeon HD 2600XT with 256MB DDR4 RAM.

  • ASUS EN8600GTS SILENT (UK)

    In this test, we are going to take a look on a graphics card from Asus, namely, a 8600GTS, which supports DX10. Recently, we tested a P5K motherboard from Asus, which performed really well. So it will be exciting to see whether Asus can maintain their usual standard. The graphics card that we are going to test is called Asus EN8600GTS Silent.

  • ASUS P5K Premium Wifi-AP black pearl Edition (UK)

    In this test, we are going to have a look on a motherboard from Asus, which is build upon Intel’s P35 chip. Asus is one of the leading manufacturers of hardware on the market, and they have a reputation for releasing quality products. The motherboard for today is the Asus P5K Premium/ WiFi-AP Black Pearl Edition, which is the third motherboard in Asus’ Black Pearl series – Asus Black Pearl is being promoted as the best of the best, so it will be exciting to see if it can live up to the expectations.

  • ASUS P8P67 Sandy Bridge motherboard with Intel P67 Express

    The Sandy Bridge processors were released January 3rd, and with these came a new chipset. January 10th was the day that the new architecture was officially launched with the products. ASUS are very well-known as a motherboard manufacturer, and of course they had to play along when the new Sandy Bridge processors were released. This is the reason why they have launched a line of new motherboards, with both P67 and H67 chipsets. One example is the P8P67, which is the board we are testing today. 

  • Avixe Platinum Red Drive 1GB and 2GB (UK)

    Frode Herløv A/S has sent us a couple of Avixe high-speed USB flash drives for testing. The model is named Platinum Red Drive and comes with 1 and 2 GB of capacity and a weight of only 17 g and 60x17.7x7mm in dimension.

  • BFG GeForce 9600 GT OC (UK)

    Previously we have already reviewed a number of different GeForce 9600 GT based graphics cards, and the one we are taking a look at today, is a BFG GeForce 9600 GT OC card with 512MB GDDR3 RAM, that has been overclocked by the manufacturer.

  • Chill Innovation CP-400P4 400W (UK)

    When I first lay my eyes on the package that contains this power supply unit, I immediately recognized it as something I had seen before. Chill Innovation has made a trademark out of adorning their packages with red print on a black background. Highlight of the day is a 400 watt power supply unit which is in the low end of the scale. Though, the majority of power supplies that are sold, lie in this end of the scale. So the relevance of taking a look on one of these power supplies remains.

  • Cooler Master 690 II Advanced

    Cooler Master was founded in 1992, and has since been one of the world's leading hardware manufacturers, focusing mainly on cases and cooling solutions. To begin with, Cooler Master aimed at enthusiasts, but trough the years they've started producing products for all segments which is why they now have cheap mainstream products and very expensive high end stuff as well. Cooler Masters portfolio has expanded a lot trough the past few years, and now include various pc accessories as well as high quality power supplies. About 6 months ago, we reviewed the Cooler Master CM 690 PURE case, and ended up with a very positive experience.

    In this review, we’re going to look at yet another product from Cooler Master. Recently we have reviewed a number of products from Cooler Master, and they have all shown a fair performance in our tests. The product reviewed today is the Real Power M620. The Real Power series is a well known line of products from Cooler Master, but a new addition to this one is the modular power cables. In this series, there are 5 power supplies ranging from 520 watts to 1000 watts.
