  • How to Overclock your graphics card

    The graphics card, the almost divine graphics cars. Every gamer’s best friend. Unfortunately, the best friends cost the most. It is possible to spend 12.000 DKK on a single graphics card. But as expensive as it can be, as cheap can it be too. There are graphics cards at 200 DKK, but they are not necessarily as you expect. Graphics cards perform as differently as they cost. Besides the big range and pricing, many cards perform weird compared to the price, but I will return to that later on in the article.

  • Ultimate Ears 100 In-Ear Headphones

    Ultimate Ears specializes exclusively in producing headphones. They have in their chosen everything from cheap headphones for 30 dollars, and almost luxurious versions in price ranges up to and even above 800 dollars. Today we look at one of their cheap versions and see how much sound you can get out of a set of in-ear headphones for under 60 dollars. In-ear does as its name says that you have the headphones inside the ear like earplugs. Series called Ultimate Ears 100, where Logitech has been involved in over and develop. It is also possible to buy Ultimate Ears 100 on Logitech's website, but much more on this later. Now let's jump into it and look at these little headphones.

  • Exceleram EP3001A 3 x 2 GB DDR3-1333 MHz CL9

    The EP3001A modules have a speed of DDR3-1333 MHz with CL9 timings, and a tRAS-value of 24. The CRT-timing can be adjusted to 1T, which gives you extra performance. Exceleram have chosen to spare the cooling units, to minimize the price. The overclocking potential is big, and by loosening the timings, it is possible to hit speeds over DDR3-2000 MHz. We compare the modules in more benchmark tests against kits from both Exceleram and Kingston. 

  • ASUS P8P67 Sandy Bridge motherboard with Intel P67 Express

    The Sandy Bridge processors were released January 3rd, and with these came a new chipset. January 10th was the day that the new architecture was officially launched with the products. ASUS are very well-known as a motherboard manufacturer, and of course they had to play along when the new Sandy Bridge processors were released. This is the reason why they have launched a line of new motherboards, with both P67 and H67 chipsets. One example is the P8P67, which is the board we are testing today. 

  • Thermaltake Shock Gaming Headset

    When people hear the name Thermaltake, the first they think of is cases, power supplies and cooling equipment, because this is what Thermaltake always has been known for. But this was apparently not enough for the big manufacturer, who now are introducing new types of products. The new products are mice, headsets and other gaming equipment meant for eSport. This brings us to the product we are testing today, the Thermaltake Shock headset , and this is a big gaming headset with a naughty, and very appealing design. Volume regulation, Bass boost and collapsible design is just some of the features of the Thermaltake Shock headset.  

  • Roccat Kone[+] gaming mouse

    Back in the days, Roccat released the Kone mouse as their first product; they have been recognized ever since. Kone became a big success, but now they have chosen to update it, and the result is the Kone[+] - Max Customization Gaming Mouse. Kone[+] has been improved in many ways; there is a new surface on the whole mouse, same number of buttons - more functions, improved weight-system and a new Tracking Control Unit (TCU), now with Distance Control Unit (DCU) which added together gives TDCU built into the laser. 

     

  • Antec LanBoy Air Gamer Case

    The LanBoy Air is targeted towards gamers, overclockers and enthusiast at the same time. The case’s design and features like LED-fans and handles makes it suitable for LAN-parties. Every part - besides the body in steel  - are modules that can be adjusted. This makes it easy for creative types whom hobby is to modify the product. LanBoy Air have with its 5 x 120mm fans and 15 x 120mm possible locations for fans an astounding potential in regard to cooling which appeals strongly to overclocking. A removable motherboard tray, 8 x PCI-slots, SSD-support and fan controller to control the pre-mounted fans gives the enthusiast a lot of possibilities. 

     

  • VTX3D Radeon HD 6850 X-Edition 1GB GDDR5 RAM

    The VTX3D Radeon HD 6850 X-Edition is designed to comply with gamer enthusiasts' need of high performance at a low price. The barts core is overclocked from 775 mHz to 800 MHz, and the GDDR5 memory is also overclocked from 1000 MHz to 1050 MHz. AMD's referencedesign has been modified with a noiseless 9-winged cooling unit, red transparent surface and other connections. The review will demonstrate the performance of the card in new DirectX 11 titles, like Mafia 2 and Call of Duty: Black Ops, where it will be compared to the Radeon HD 6850 and the GTX 460.

     

  • Gigabyte GeForce GTX 460 overclocked with the Windforce cooler

    Gigabyte’s GV-N460OC-1GI is built with the Ultra Durable VGA components and an anti-turbulent Windforce cooling component. The advantages with that initiative are for example lower temperatures on the GPU, bigger overclocking potential and a lower power consumption, compared to the GTX 460 reference version.

    The card’s GF104 GPU is overclocked with 40 MHz from the factory, but the 1 GB GDDR5 memory runs at standard speed. This test will answer how the GV-N460OC-1GI competes against AMD’s Radeon HD 6800 series in ordinary, but also PhysX and anti-alising benchmarks.

  • ASRock 880G Extreme3 with 6Gbps SATA and USB 3.0

    When it comes to motherboards, ASRock is becoming a bigger player, also on the Danish market. They have launched some really good motherboards recently. Among those have ASRock launched one with AMD’s newest chipset, all packed into a potent motherboard – the ASRock 880G Extreme 3 AM3.

  • Synology DiskStation 210j

    Synology is known for quality products within NAS (Network Attached Storage) genre to both private and business use. Earlier we got to know 2 other Synology products, DS207+ and DS409slim respectively, which received positive reviews. This review will be about the product DS210j, which is aimed at private use. 

  • Ozone SMOG Gaming Mouse

    Hearing the name Ozone does not necessarily make you think of gaming at first, but that is exactly the field Ozone makes accessories to. Ozone is quite new in Denmark, but that is the pretty much the situation in general with Ozone. In Ozone's product line you will stumble upon products such as; mousepads, mice, headsets and a few minor gaming accessories. With a slogan going; "Ozone is all about evolution" they have already inculcated us with great expectations. Ozone thinks in new ways to ensure the best possible gaming experience. Today's product belongs to Ozone's series of mice. The model in question goes by the name SMOG, which offers rich macro possibilities, color system, 5040 DPI, ceramic gliding pads and much more. 

  • Creative Sound Blaster ARENA Surround USB Gaming Headset

    Today's product is from the producer Creative. When mentioning Creative, you'll automatically think of sound hardware for computers, which is what Creative has become famous for producing. Creative originates in Singapore where they started in 1981, with the vision of letting multimedia as sound revolutionize the way people made use of their computers. Creative is particularly known for their Sound Blaster series of high quality sound cards. In their wide selection, they have a card for you whether you're listening to music, game, edit, watch movies, etc. As said, it is not only sound cards that Creative's selection  consists of. Their selection includes advanced MP3/MP4-players and headsets. The latter is exactly what we're about to take a look at today, a headset. The model is called Sound Blaster ARENA Surround. USB-connectivity, software, surround and VoiceFX is but a few of the features shipped with the ARENA headset.

  • Intel Core i3 540 (3.06 GHz) processor

    While the powerful Core i7 processors and the budget friendly Core i5 processors has stolen all the attention, the Core i3 series has discretely reached the Danish market as well. At first, most users wouldn't care much for these, but a closer look at the Intel Core i3 might be worth your while.

  • Corsair Extreme X128 Solid State Drive

    The successor to mechanical hard drives, the Solid State Disk is still only a small piece of the total market, and the price/GB ratio is also pretty high, but luckily the manufacturers keep producing new models, which pushes performance up and prices down. Corsair is well known for producing quality RAM, USB sticks, power supplies and lately they're beginning to SDD several SSD's to their collection. The SSD's is split into different series, and one of these is called Extreme. The SSD in question today is called Corsair Extreme X128, and like the name might suggest has a capacity of 128GB -  more than enough for the operating system and then some.

  • MSI H55M-ED55 with Intel H55 Express

    In the past few years, MSI or Micro-Star International as they’re also known as has made an aggressive move into the global market. Large parts of Europe have especially noticed their presence. Many people might remember them from OC competitions, like MSI Overclocking Arena, which also took place here at Tweak.dk, with the winners competing against other teams at MSI headquarters in the Netherlands.

    As a part of their rebuilt of a better image, and increasing marketing, production numbers isn’t the only thing that has gone up. MSI has also realized the importance of listening to the user’s needs, and use the feedback as constructive criticism. The result is of this is a series of interesting motherboards – like the P55 ”Big Bang” series – and the product in focus today, called H55M-ED55 as seen above.

  • Cooler Master 690 II Advanced

    Cooler Master was founded in 1992, and has since been one of the world's leading hardware manufacturers, focusing mainly on cases and cooling solutions. To begin with, Cooler Master aimed at enthusiasts, but trough the years they've started producing products for all segments which is why they now have cheap mainstream products and very expensive high end stuff as well. Cooler Masters portfolio has expanded a lot trough the past few years, and now include various pc accessories as well as high quality power supplies. About 6 months ago, we reviewed the Cooler Master CM 690 PURE case, and ended up with a very positive experience.

  • GEIL Ultra DDR3 TC 1600MHz triple channel kit

    Geil was founded in 1993 and has since 1997 been known to produce high quality memory modules and kits, often focusing on the enthusiast market. Last time we looked at memory modules from Geil were back in August 2008. The memory kit we are looking at now is a high performance triple channel kit, designed for the Intel X58 platform.

  • Logitech Cordless Desktop Wave (UK)

    More and more people prefer wireless hardware when working on a Pc, especially if you they own an HTPC or just want a tidy desktop. Today we’re looking at a wireless desktop combo from Logitech called Logitech Cordless Desktop Wave. The combo consists of a Logitech Wave keyboard which is designed to provide a comfortable layout for the hands, and the Logitech LX8 laser mouse.

  • ABIT IX38 QuadGT (UK)

    12/07 - 2008

    It’s time to have a look at a motherboard from Abit, based on the X38 chipset. This board carries the name ABIT IX38-QuadGT, and stands out from the Abit IP35 Pro with a new chipset and improved cooling. Everything else though is copied from the previously mentioned motherboard. As said before, the new feature is the IX38’s use of the X38 chipset, which is the enthusiast solution compared to the P35 chipset. Among others, 45nm support, three PCI-E slots, special Abit Uguru overclocking software can be mentioned as features. All in all, we’re in for an exciting review.
