The product: The entire top side of the card is dominated by the cooler.
On the backside of the card, there’s nothing interesting to look at. The 512mb RAM is placed on the top side, under the cooler
Like other new graphics cards, the MSI NX8800GT-T2D512E-OC uses more power than the PCI-E socket can deliver. The extra power is delivered trough a 6 pin PCI-E plug, which can be found on all new power supplies. The power plug connecter is placed at the back of the card.
Removing the cooler, we see the G92 core and the 8 RAM circuits, which have been placed around the core. The RAM circuits provide a total of 512mb GDDR3 RAM.
The final thing we need to have a look at before testing the MSI NX8800GT-T2D512E-OC’s performance is the cooler design. As mentioned before it is a single-slot cooler.
