The motherboard The color scheme for MSI motherboards is very much like Intels, with blue pieces on a black PCB. The only thing standing out is the silver colored heat sinks, which are usually blue or black on Intel motherboards.
MSI has used the excess space in the H55 chipset, which doesn’t have a reel Northbridge, for an extra pair of PCI-Express gates. Also notice that the BIOS battery has been moved, so that it won’t cause clearance issues when using big graphics cards.
On top of that, the H55M-ED55 is one of the first H55 based motherboards we’ve seen, that uses angled SATA connections.
Up until now we’ve seen H55 motherboards with either one or two PS/2 connections, but MSI has chosen a”split PS/2 connector, that works with either a keyboard or a mouse – That’s just how we like it. They could’ve fitted 2 USB connectors instead, but in this case its one eSATA connector.
A very coherent motherboard with very little excess space.

Now featuring double PCI-Express lanes, with Crossfire capability on a H55 chipset.
