Introduction:In this test, we’re reviewing a graphics card from MSI. Lately we’ve reviewed a number of products from MSI. The card on the bench in this test is Nvidia’s latest release – namely the 9800GTX. The card MSI has sent us is called N9800GTX-T2D512-OC.
As the name reveals, MSI has produced an overclocked version of the Nvidia 9800GTX card. We weren’t impressed with the previous 9800GTX we reviewed, so it’ll be exciting to see if this card handles better against the 8800 series.
Packaging:The MSI N9800GTX-T2D512-OC card is packed in a nearly square box, with the front dominated by MSI’s logo.
Besides that there’s a number of information about the cards specifications. Other than the card, you find a number of other stuff. We’ll start off with the cables and connectors:
• DVI to VGA converter
• 2 x PCI –e power cables (Molex to PCI-e)
• Component out cable
• S- video out cable

As a new addition, a DVI to HDMI converter is bundled with the MSI N9800GTX-T2D512-OC card.
Because Nvidia has offered the ability to transfer a sound signal trough the card since their 9xxx series, this converter is a great addition from MSI – and something we missed when testing the 9800GTX from Sparkle. Besides various cables and connectors, the usual driver CD and a manual is bundled with the MSI N9800GTX-T2D512-OC card.
The MSI N9800GTX-T2D512-OC has a very decent bundle, and the HDMI converter is a nice touch for Nvidia cards.
