The scroll wheel on the LX8 mouse is soft and supports horizontal scrolling, a nice feature for people using low resolutions on their Pc screens, and therefore needs to scroll left and right to view websites.
Under the LX8 mouse we have the laser, an on/off button with an LED and a connect button. The mouse pads easily slides across the table and the Icemat which I use. Furthermore there’s the battery lid.
Before you can use the combo you need to connect it to the Pc. This is no big deal though, as the only thing you need to do is to plug in the USB receiver and start connecting each part. To connect the keyboard, you press the connect button on the receiver and on the keyboard quickly after. The same goes for the mouse. This will pair the units together and it’s not necessary to do it again.
After this, the combo can be used, but if you want to alter the keyboard shortcut functions and mouse sensitivity, you’ll need to install the Logitech SetPoint software. When the software is installed, both keyboard and mouse can be found, and it’s possible to change the shortcut functions as seen below.
