The card’s single SLI connection makes it possible to combine two of this card in SLI, to get more performance and more picture-quality options.
GV-N460OC-1GI supports voltage regulation when overclocking. The GDDR5 memory is produced by Samsung, and we can see 8 x 124 MB chips on the card.
NVIDIA’s GF104 GPU has a size of 334 mm2, packed with 1950 million transistors, and produced on a 40 nm technology. Anti-alising can go up to 32 x to eliminate jagged edges and figures.
Samsung’s K4G10325FE-HC05 GDDR5 memory is a part of their “Green” series, and is specified to 1000 MHz (4.0 Gbps).
Gigabyte’s Windforce cooling component uses two copper pipes to lead the heat away from the copper base, which is in direct contact with the GPU. The aluminum fins are designed to remove turbulence and by that make the cooling more effective, and reduce the noise level. The PWM-coolers, with a diameter of 75 mm, send air down onto the whole PCB, and make overclocking a piece of cake.
The Windforce cooling component is available in three variants: Windforce x2 Parallel Inclined, Windforce x2 Mirroring Inclined and Windforce x3 3D Inclined. GV-N460OC-1GI is equipped with the first variant.
GV-N460OC-1GI supports Microsoft’s DirectX 11 package with NVIDIA’s CUDA, PhysX and 3D vision / Surround features.
