SPECIFICATIONS
Together, these options give the board the following connectivity:
• 2 x USB connectors with the option of 4 ports • 1 x Floppy disk drive connector • 1 x IDE connector • 1 x COM connector • 6 x SATA connectors • 1 x CPU Fan connector (PMW) • 4 x Chassis Fan connectors • 1 x Power Fan connector • 1 x IEEE1394a connector • Front panel audio connector • 1 x S/PDIF Out Header • Chassis Intrusion connector • CD audio in • 24-pin ATX Power connector • 2 x 4-pin ATX 12V Power connectors • System Panel(Q-Connector) |
One thing that is worthy of mention is the Asus Q-Connector, which makes it significantly easier to install the motherboard.

The Q-Connector is a go-between between the motherboard and the various connections to the cabinet.
On the IO back panel we find the following entries:
• 1 x PS/2 Keyboard • 1 x S/PDIF Out (Coaxial + Optical) • 2 x External SATA • 1 x IEEE1394a • 2 x RJ45 port • 6 x USB 2.0/1.1 • 1 x WiFi-AP Solo antenna jack • 8-channel Audio I/O |

The only thing that one could wish for on this back panel would be an extra PS2 connector so that both mouse and keyboard could be installed using this interface. Though, in compensation for the lack of this PS2 port, two USB ports have been added.
Before we go into the deep with the structure of the motherboard, we will have a look on what Asus have added of other features.
• Overclocking Features o AI NOS™ (Non-delay Overclocking System) o ASUS AI Booster utility o vCore: Adjustable CPU voltage at 0.0125V increment o vDIMM: 16-step DRAM voltage control o vChipset: 4-step Chipset voltage control o SFS (Stepless Frequency Selection) o FSB tuning from 200MHz up to 800MHz at 1MHz increment o Memory tuning from 667MHz up to 1333MHz for DDR2 o PCI Express frequency tuning from 100MHz up to150MHz at 1MHz increment o Overclocking Protection: o ASUS C.P.R.(CPU Parameter Recall) |
