SPECIFICATIONS: Here are the specifications of the ASUS EAH2600XT card. As already mentioned, it has 256MB DDR4 RAM, and these run with a factual speed of 2.2GHz.
The AMD R630 chip, which supports DirectX 10, runs at 800MHz. Furthermore, the ASUS EAH2600XT supports dual DVI-I with the possibility of monitors of more than 30 inches. Also, there is the possibility of 5.1 surround sound via the accompanying DVI -> HDMI converter, which would benefit a HTPC setup.
ASUS grants a 3-year-warrantee of the ASUS EAH2600XT D4/HTDI/256M card, which is one year longer than what is regulated by the Danish purchase laws.
The DDR4 RAM modules are made by Samsung and they have an access time of 0.9 ms and are prepared to run efficiently at 2222MHz.

THE PRODUCT: The ASUS EAH2600XT D4/HTDI/256M graphics card is constructed on the AMD reference layout, and has a red circuit board. The card is equipped with a one-slot cooler of aluminium, which is encapsulated by red plastic. In the end, the card’s voltage regulators are positioned underneath the cooling profile.
The four DDR4 RAM chips of each 64MB are placed underneath the active cooling profile and are thereby cooled along with the R630 graphics chip.
On the back of the ASUS EAH2600XT, there are a number of components as well as a mounting clip that keeps the cooler on the front in place. There are also a number of screws visible that help creating a good contact between the DDR4 RAM modules.
Here we see the ASUS EAH2600XT graphics card from another angle. The section that is positioned over the voltage regulators is also visible, and on the far right, the connectors for the CrossFire bridge can be seen.
On this picture, it is possible to see how strongly built the cooling profile is above the voltage regulators. The ASUS EAH2600XT D4/HTDI/256M is not equipped with an extra 12-volt PCI Express power connector; the card draws enough power from the PCI Express slot.
