ASRock 880G Extreme3 is a really good and cheap motherboard for those who a looking for a motherboard with a lot of features as USB 3.0, HDMI and so on.
ASRock 880G Extreme3 also shows a solid performance in most of the benchmarks with a few exceptions that mostly was related to the build-in GFX and similar.
We had some problems with our RAM-modules because the motherboard did not want to go higher than 1600Mhz even though we were overclocking. We also saw that the IGP(HD4250) had problems with performance during overclocking. We got the feeling that these problems will be solved in the next BIOS-update. Another nice thing with thise IGP boards is that you can run Crossfire, and this works fine. The performance is maybe what you expect but still really fine when you look at the competition and prices.
ASRock 880G Extreme3 can be bought for 778DDK right now, seen on EDBpriser.dk. So when you add the performance of SATA3.0, USB3.0 and Tri Crossfire support, then you’ll end up with a motherboard which is a really good product.
Crossfire via IGP
CLR CMOS button on I/O panel
10 Phased powercontrol to the CPU
BIOS much like on ASUS motherboards
The build-in SidePort memory with 128MB DDR3 did not show performance-wise
