Now it is time to see how this motherboard performs. And our setup is ready and it comprises the following hardware:
AMD Phenom II X6 1090T
KHX DDR3-2000 (1600Mhz 6-6-5-15-15-1T) 4GB(2x2GB)
Corsair Force F60GB SSD
Sapphire HD5670 (ATI Catalyst Version 10.9)
ASRock 880G Extreme3 (bios. 1.70)
Let’s get on with the benchmarks. We’ll start with the Futuremark-benchmarks and here we have choosen to use 3DMark 03, 05, 06 and PCMark 05 plus the Vantage version. 3DMark is a program used to test the CPU’s and GFX’s performance.
If you compare the green and blue line, as both are the same chipset, you’ll see that the ASRock motherboard not really manages to follow the ASUS board.
WinRAR is also good for benchmarking because it measures the motherboard’s memory bandwidth between the CPU and the memory it self.
Again, the chart above shows that ASRock can’t reach the same performance as one of its competitors while it without problems beats the ECS motherboard.
Then it’s the program Everest turn. Everest is a really fine program to measure the speed between RAM and CPU.
Again a bad start for ASRock which must accept defeat by the competitor from ASUS.
