2nd January 2002—Besides striving for the development of it main product line of motherboards, since 2001, EPoX Computer Co. Ltd. has endeavoured to develop wireless communication products, especially in the Bluetooth technology field.  Until now, EPoX has introduced three Bluetooth technology products, namely, Bluetooth USB Dongle (BT-DG03), Bluetooth™ Motherboard Module (BT-MB02), and the latest, Bluetooth Printer Adapter (BT-PA01).  Recently, certified by the Bluetooth Qualification Body (BQB), EPoX Bluetooth USB Dongle is listed in the Qualified Products List (QPL) on the Bluetooth official website (www.bluetooth.com).  This states that EPoX Bluetooth USB Dongle has passed Bluetooth Qualification processes and fulfills specification compliance and interoperability.
For a long time, Bluetooth, a short-range wireless communication technology, has been regarded as an alternative to WLAN in terms of reducing construction costs and a substitute for IrDA, since Bluetooth is without line-of-sight restrictions.  To drive the development of the Bluetooth technology and bring it to market, the Bluetooth Special Interest Group (SIG) was established.  In 2001, EPoX joined the group and became a Bluetooth SIG Adopter Member to commit to producing and marketing products with Bluetooth functionality.

Recently, EPoX Bluetooth USB Dongle, a streamline-shaped portable wireless communication device, joined the Bluetooth Qualification Program and has been certified by the Bluetooth Qualification Body (BQB) as a qualified product.  This product also is listed in the Qualified Products List (QPL), the unique recognised list of products that have successfully passed the Bluetooth Qualification Process, on the Bluetooth official website.  The Bluetooth Qualification Program is administrated by Bluetooth Qualification Review Board (BQRB), which is charted by Bluetooth SIG.  BQRB authorises the Bluetooth Qualification Body (BQB) to be in charge of the qualification services.  The listing of the EPoX Bluetooth USB Dongle on the official database of Bluetooth QPL demonstrates that BQB has verified the compliance and interoperability of this product and has granted a Bluetooth license to this product. 
The market of Bluetooth enabled products is increasing.  The EPoX Bluetooth “Golden Triangle” – USB Dongle, Motherboard Module, and Printer Adapter – indeed exemplify the wide possibility of Bluetooth technology usage.  Besides Bluetooth™ products, EPoX’s communication division has developed Wireless LAN PC cards (EWL-C100) and Access Points (ECL-A11).
