Billeder af ASUS Radeon HD 3850 Trinity Engineering Sample

DriverHeaven har fået fingrene i et Engineering Sample af det kommende ASUS 3850 Trinity grafikkort.

As shown above the Trinity is a rather large product. The PCB is slightly higher than the average retail card and the length with waterblock included makes it longer than the 4870X2. As suggested by the Trinity name this card has more than one GPU and the first is located on the front of the card. The 3650 GPU has its own PCB and memory, connected to a small MXM style PCB and this connects to the main circuit board in a similar way to the method used in high end laptops for their graphics cards. The cooling on this model is the Thermaltake BigWater 760 and on the front we can see two copper heatpipes which transfer heat away from the GPU into the waterblock. Finally on the front of the card we have the power socket, a standard 8pin PCIe power connector.
