GIGA-BYTE Communications announces its first mobile phone g-X5 today. The smooth design and stylish color tone of black and silver places this slider phone in line with the fashion classic of minimalism in black. More than just good-looks, g-X5 offers many user-friendly functions new to the market. These functions include Invisible Folder, memory card encryption, 3-axis motion sensing games, and POI (e-maps), introducing all new personalized mobile communication experiences to consumer. g-X5 is available in all major distribution outlets as well as ET Mall with a recommended price between NTD13,000 and 14,000. Please visit www.HiGIGA.com for available distribution outlets.

GIGABYTE g-X5, with the touch and feel of a black piano, is decorated with a silver ring of metal, presenting an only original design. g-X5 introduces a number of first-to-the-industry features. Invisible Folder and memory card encryption are two functions designed for those who care about privacy. The folder protects important personal data from unwelcoming spectators by hiding VIP contacts, call history, messages, and files. To top the list, g-X5 can even automatically delete the hidden call history and messages after a specific period of time set by users; ensuring those top secrets are never revealed.

Another brand new feature, POI (Points of Interests), integrates e-maps with places of interests, restaurants and tour routes recommended by well-known magazine, Walker. Filled with color photos, POI brings all the fun and goodies to the palm of your hand. g-X5 is also the only mobile phone with a built-in motion sensing 3-axis sensor in Taiwan. Users may play games by simply shaking the phone. Other features such as 1.3 mega-pixel digital camera, MP3 player and MPEG 4 recording and playback offer fantastic entertainment to all types of users.

Stanley Jenq, the CEO of GIGA-BYTE Communications, says that GIGABYTE phone development will focus on developing new software features to enrich user experience with mobile phones and create unconventional fun to everyday life.
