Leadtek really did a number on this board, even though the chipset change didn’t really affect the performance of this board. Looking at the scores from both A7N8X Deluxe and the K7NCR18D-ProII, the numbers don’t show any type of marked improvement, and there really shouldn’t be since the nForce2 Ultra400 chipset is only the nForce2 with 400MHz support. The only thing that makes this board worthwhile is the added features such as SATA, optical out, the dual 10/100 LAN ports, etc. Therefore, this board is a definite upgrade option for those who have anything less than a KT333. At $125 on newegg.com, it’s not the cheapest board on the market, but well worth the money with all these features.
