I have absolutely no reason on earth to like this block. Its the size of a London bus and the weight of one too. It helped a card to die, turned my system into the River Thames and made a tricky time a complete nightmare. I could go into a fit of moaning and justifications as to way you should not buy this monolith of a block.
But I wont. Why? Well the answer is simple, it really is a very good block. The fitting kit is excellent, it looks great and performs like a king. The issue of weight is a very valid one and I would have concerns with having it hanging from my graphics card should it be in a case. I definitely would want a motherboard with one of those lovely little retaining clip. I do however feel that maybe the top does not have to be as thick as the side of a tank. But it does add to the sheer feel of quality.
The fact that DD have also made a block that is really a cooling solution and not just a means of channelling water has to be applauded. This is set to be the top selling block of the year I gather and to be perfectly honest with plenty of reason. It is about time that the same effort to cooling the CPU is given to your GPU as well. This is the first GPU block that I would really call a block and not just a means of joining two bits of tubing. Its not perfect, although knowing DD, work on the Maze 5 is well under way by now.
So what will I give it, SILVER AWARD for the block, only missing a Gold due to its shear bulk and weight and a MODFATHER AWARD for the excellent design and for looking just so damn good.
Produktet kan desuden fåes i en version, hvorpå der er monteret et peltier element. Se her http://www.dangerden.com/mall/blocks/maze4gpu.asp
