Our thoughts for the Zalman ZM-WB2 would be that while the copper base is thick to get the heat from the processor having only three thick small cooling fins is the problem. Our thoughts would be to make the water block with four cooling fins and have the recess slightly deeper on the bottom two than they are at present. The fins could stay the same size but the block would need to be a little taller or make the fins and fin gap slightly smaller.
Secondly the water holes for the Zalman ZM-WB2 where the water has to squeeze in and go out could be opened out a little to allow the water freer flow to the cooling fins. A thought would be to make the blue case out of plastic to reduce weight as it does not serve to reduce heat.
We are reminded that this Zalman ZM-WB2 water block and the whole kit are very well made and finished off and represents an excellent start making water blocks by Zalman. With a more power full water flow rate we are sure the performance would be better especially for overclocking.
