"With the recent Superfish adware incident preloaded on some laptops that exposed many users to potential malicious attacks, we at Razer would like to highlight that since the first day we launched the Blade some three years ago, right off Day 1, ALL our systems ship clean – out of the box without any bloatware.
Understandably, bundling such adware (and as a result potential malware) onto PCs and laptops is a good way to make money for the manufacturer and in turn be able to provide a lower sticker price for the consumers, this however, goes strongly against our design ethos.
We design products that we want to use ourselves as gamers. That means not bogging it down with unnecessary software. As such, all Razer Blades ship clean with the OS without third party software. While this might mean a slightly more expensive product, we believe it’s not worth shaving dollars through compromising personal information and clogging up the system with unnecessary software.
We now ask the industry to do the same. Get the word out by sharing this message and demand for #NoBloatware."
