"VisionTek, a division of Hartford Computer Group, today unveiled its plans to launch RADEON 9500 PRO and RADEON 9100 based graphics cards. Almost three months have passed since Chicago-based company acquired VisionTek and we have not seen anything from them yet. Reportedly they had to sell about several thousands of graphics cards based on NVIDIA graphics processors, so, we can understand the delay with ATI’s product lineup. On the other hand, if you want to succeed in business, you should be as aggressive, as you can.
Today VisionTek announced its plans to release XSTASY RADEON 9500 PRO product with 128MB of DDR SDRAM and MSRP of $219.99 less a $20.00 consumer mail-in rebate. In addition, the company said it will launch PCI and AGP versions of RADEON 9100 powered XSTASY 9100 graphics cards with either 128 or 64MB DDR SDRAM onboard. The former will retail for $79.99 after a $20 mail in rebate, and the latter will retail for $129.99.
Remember that ATI launches its RV350 and R350 graphics processors in the next 29 days, thus, we can assume that VisionTek will become one of the first companies to utilise the new graphics processors."
