We are currently checking the news about Intels Sandy Bridge chipsets. We have stopped delivering Sandy Bridge motherboards until we receive more information from Intel. Our R&D department and our product management department are in close contact with Intel to find a fast and good solution and to go forward to solve this issue. To our knowledge a maximum five percent of all Sandy Bridge-chipsets could potentially suffer from this error – over a period of three years.
If you have a problem with a GIGABYTE P67/H67/B65 motherboard and SATA ports as described by Intel, please contact our support via the global online support system GGTS (http://ggts.gigabyte.com). Additionally we arranged the email address firstname.lastname@example.org for all questions about Sandy Bridge, which will be answered with the highest priority.
Because of the fact that just few of the chipsets may be defective there is no reason for a „panic“. We will inform you as soon as possible when we receive further information from Intel or if we need to follow up. Please stay tuned and offer your customers the warranty option from GIGABYTE and contact our technical support if you have problems with any of our Sandy Bridge motherboards.
