GIGABYTE udvider fra 2011 deres garanti over for slutbrugere. Den nye garanti ordning løber i op til seks år på bundkort, men kræver at man registrerer sig på deres hjemmeside.
Det er allerede en ordning der kører i Tyskland, og den har været en så stor succes at GIGABYTE nu udvider den, så den kommer alle til gode.
GIGABYTE wants to introduce additional product services in 2011. Most importantly, extended warranty for end-users: Customers that buy a GIGABYTE motherboard with Intel chipset will have the chance to register on the GIGABYTE website, and benefit from up to six years warranty for their new motherboards.
"The service has been offered throughout Germany for a long time. We have made our experiences, and subsequently want to launch this successful program for our Nordic customers," told Timmy Huang, General Manager GIGABYTE North & West Europe. The plan is to start the extended warranty program during the first quarter of 2011.
End-users will also profit from a program for resellers: Direct RMA. Internet retailers and resellers can send claimed motherboards directly to GIGABYTE, who will handle all support. "The resellers won't have to wait until a distributor handles the RMA for them, but can ship directly and follow the status online," said Timmy Huang and continued: "The transfer time will be greatly reduced and the resellers can inform end-users exactly where the motherboard actually is."
GIGABYTE has a support centre in house in Hamburg, Germany where claimed motherboards can be tested and repaired. The direct RMA-program should equally launch in the first quarter of 2011.
