MSI Introduces The N460GTX Cyclone Series

 

MSI today officially announces the N460GTX Cyclone Series graphics cards, including the N460GTX Cyclone 768D5/OC and N460GTX Cyclone 1GD5. The cards are powered by the latest NVIDIA GeForce GTX 460 GPU and comes with top Military Class Components and the exclusive Cyclone thermal design with a 9cm PWM fan. The cards come with GPU overvoltage support through MSI’s exclusive overclocking software Afterburner to boost performance by up to 30%. In addition the card generates 15.7% less noise than the reference cooler at full speed to create a quiet environment for end-users.  
MSI N460GTX Cyclone Series is equipped with the exclusive Cyclone thermal design. After sinking the heat from the GPU with the nickel-plated copper base, two heat pipes evenly transfer the heat to the fins. Through a large 9cm PWM fan the huge airflow dissipates the heat very quickly. Aside from effectively reducing the GPU temperature compared to the reference cooler, the Cyclone thermal design can reduce noise by up to 15.7%. N460GTX Cyclone series maintains a balance between cooling and noise to delivier a quiet and cool platform.
Utilizing MSI’s exclusive Afterburner overclockingsoftware, users are able to adjust the fan speed as well as tune the voltage of the GPU to completely unleash its power to significantly enhance the overclocking capability by up to 30%. End users can test the stability of their overclock by using the stress-testing software Kombustor, which was co-developed by MSI and Furmark.
Based on over 23-years of R&D experience, MSI not only challenges ultimate stability, durability and extreme performance, but also insists on top quality components, such as Military Class Components. Besides Hi-c CAPs, which are of the same grade as parts used on space shuttles and satellites with an 8x longer lifespan than regular solid capacitors, MSI selects a noiseless and low-vibration Solid State Choke (SSC) on the N460GTX Cyclone series graphics cards. More important, Solid Caps are used to extend the entire lifespan of products.
