AMD has announced world-record 2P price/performance scores in the TPC-E and TPC-C benchmark tests for on-line transaction processing. The record-setting scores were achieved on an HP ProLiant DL385 G7 server powered by the new AMD Opteron™ 6000 Series platform.

The following TPC-E and TPC-C benchmark scores were posted on April 8, 2010:
· TPC-E: HP ProLiant DL385 G7 server powered by AMD Opteron processor Model 6176 SE running Microsoft® SQL Server® R2 and Microsoft Windows Server® 2008 R2 achieved a score of $296.00 USD per tpsE.
· TPC-C: HP ProLiant DL385 G7 server based on AMD Opteron processor Model 6176 SE running Microsoft SQL Server 2005 and Microsoft Windows Server 2008 R2 achieved a score of .60 USD per tpmC.

· Heavy duty processing capabilities with up to 12 cores per processor for advanced performance and scalability.
· Enhanced memory capacity bandwidth with four channels of DDR3 memory per socket for improved memory bandwidth compared to previous generations.
· Expanded processor cache with up to 12MB of L3 cache, twice as much as previous generation AMD Opteron processors, ensuring faster data access and delivering optimized optimal performance.
· Increased performance over previous generations, while maintaining roughly the same power envelope.
