ASUS Biggest Winner at 18th Taiwan Excellence Awards with Final Tally of 36 Awards

ASUS has emerged the biggest winner at the 18th Taiwan Excellence Awards, with the international panel of judges awarding the netbook pioneer, cloud computing leader, and world’s fastest-growing notebook brand a total of 36 awards—thus earning it the coveted “Most Popular” award. This marks the seventh year in a row in which ASUS has finished with the most number of awards.
The ASUS EeeKeyboard PC EKB1542 was conferred the Taiwan Excellence Awards’ top honor—the prestigious Gold award. Four other ASUS products earned Silver honors: the Garmin-Asus G60 location-based smartphone, LS246H LCD monitor, Videophone Touch AiGuru SV1T and DR-900 E-Book Reader.
“Winning the most awards for the seventh year in a row and being recognized as Taiwan’s most popular enterprise is an enormous endorsement of ASUS’ strength in R&D, design, quality, and marketing. We will continue to enhance our capabilities in innovation and design in our relentless quest to deliver products that exemplify our promise of Inspiring Innovation • Persistent Perfection,” said Tony Chen, Corporate Vice President and Vice Chair of ASUS’ System Business Group.
"Taiwan Excellence is the highest accolade awarded to products that encapsulate innovalue, and it is therefore unsurprising that ASUS—with its unwavering focus on innovation and quality—once again leads the field," said Mr. Yuen-Chuan Chao, President and CEO of TAITRA. "We are proud of the marked progress that Taiwanese enterprises have made over the past two decades, and are confident that leading companies like ASUS will continue to forge a positive image for Taiwanese businesses on the world stage—further bolstering our influence and international position."

Most notable was the recent awarding of the prestigious iF Gold to ASUS’ chiclet keyboard design.
