With the recent added crossfire support for Eyefinity setups, ASUS has decided to make a 2GB 5870 version, that would be able to provide the power needed for the heavy texture and frame buffer neede for the high resolution of Eyefinity. So here we have it in the Matrix 5870. It follows the footsteps of the Matrix 285 with the iTracker software suit and the possibility to change timings for the onboard memory.
The core used is a cherry picked low leakage core that runs at a clock frequency of 894MHz. The 2GB memory runs at a effective frequency of 4800MHz.
The card have gone in to mass production and will arrive in the first half of Q2.
