MSI announce the European launch of the Ultra light GX-series

MSI, has today announced the European launch of the GX notebook series, the GX740 and GX640; The number one choice for International World Number one GamingTeam Fnatic! Powered by the latest Intel Core i5 processor the GX series incorporates excellent engineering and design by packing in obscene performance into an extremely agile chassis, making them the slimmest and lightest on the market with the GX740 weighing in at just 3.2kg and only 2.8cm thick. MSI’s GX740 and GX640 GX-Series notebooks are powered by the new Intel Core i5 dual core processors and performance packing ATi Mobility Radeon 3D discrete graphics cards with full support for DirectX 11. The outcome – notebooks with the best display performance in the world when it comes to rich, vibrant colours and staggering detail.

 


Inside their lean shell lies a gamers Nirvana afforded by the performance leading ATI Radeon HD5870 and HD5850 discrete graphics cards supporting DirectX11, Intel Core i5 processors, SRS approved D/A 7.1 Channel audio output, CinemaPro technology and power saving boost technology for gamers looking for the best power house.


Designed with high speed performance in mind both the GX740 and GX640 are among the first notebooks to be fitted with GDDR5 (Graphics Double Data Rate, version 5) memory.


This delivers massive bandwidth to the ATI Radeon HD5870 (GX740) and HD5850 (GX640) discrete graphics cards with 1GB GDDR5 VRAM for excellent visuals whilst using less power. The SRS-certified Premium Sound speakers and 7.1 optical surround output provide stunning surround sound options.
