The event was planned as the biggest, most global overclocking event ever planned. At the end of the competition the team from Sweden captured the crown, while the Poland team and Taiwan's Futuremark Lords of Overclocking came in second and third place respectively.
For the competition, the participants used the MSI Eclipse SLI platform and MSI N275 GTX Lightning graphics card, showing the true overclocking potential of these components. Additionally, out of the 20 teams participating, 8 teams were able to break the 3DMark Vantage world record - performance they could all be proud of!
Aside from the MSI Eclipse mainboard and MSI N275 GTX Lightning graphics card, the platform used by MOA 2009 contestants included the Intel Core i7 Extreme Edition 975 CPU, Antec CP-1000 power supply, WD RE3 hard drive, and OCZ Blade 2133 Triple Channel Memory.
MSI's Global Senior Vice President, Mr. Henry Lu expressed that "in the coming years, we will make the MOA event even bigger and more expansive."
