So where was NVIDIA’s competition for the year that the GeForce 6 and nForce4 series roamed free? ATi had an army of unorganized Radeon X800 graphics cards and not much else. Although the Radeon X800 series was quite impressive, these graphics cards have reached their expiry date. The new ATi Radeon X1000 products are only starting to find there way into consumers hands now, some six months after NVIDIA’s GeForce 7 series. ATi are also finally starting to get CrossFire supportive motherboards onto the market. The Radeon Xpress 200 “CrossFire” chipset is ATi’s answer to SLI technology.
