Crucial 16GB Ballistix Elite 2666MHz

Random Access Memory (RAM) is one of those items that a lot of computer users love to have a lot of. And in reality, you can never have too much RAM for your computer systems. What our Operating System (OS) doesn’t fully use, we will find a way to use, while optimizing our computers at the same time. The one thing that limits our amount of memory usage isn’t so much our computers, but our wallet. How much money can we afford spend on our memory? So the need exists for us to find a large amount of memory that is not only fast, but also affordable enough for us to purchase and use for our computers.

Crucial Memory has been one of those memory manufacturers that has always brought us not only affordable memory for our computers, but they have proven themselves time and time again by giving us large amounts of memory with top end performance. When Intel introduced the 2011v3 CPUs, they also brought upon an entirely new memory standard. They ditched the aging DDR3 memory standard for the much faster, lower voltage requiring, and higher densities of the DDR4 memory IC’s. So it only seems fitting that Crucial offers us DDR4 memory for these newer style CPUs. In this review we are going to be looking at one of the many DDR4 modules that Crucial offers for the 2011v3 CPU platform: the 2666Mhz 16-17-17-36 16GBs DDR4 Ballistix Elite Memory. So step inside and see how this memory stacks up.
